Take a Moment to Get Acquainted with the Unique Features of Vidisco’s Xbit Database 

Vidisco’s proprietary Xbit software features a sophisticated database that can store, manage, sort and retrieve thousands of images. In addition to storing X-ray images, the database also keeps records containing associated annotation files, identifying information (project, location, date and time), and attached files such as technical specs and external images. All of this data can easily be retrieved repeatedly.

The Slider 2 X 2 is an outstanding accessory which enhances flexibility of operation of the RayzorX and more veteran FoX-Rayzor digital radiography systems by auto-shifting the Imager from afar and covering an image area that is four times larger than that of the RayzorX. Four acquired images are blended into a large area image. As only a single approach is required, down range time is dramatically reduced.

Introducing A New and Improved Vidisco Product: The XR-DE Plus 

Enabling enhanced IED detection, Vidisco’s revolutionary XR-DE Plus module allows you to create Dual Energy (DE) X-ray imaging with a Golden Engineering pulsed X-ray source and Vidisco digital flat imager systems; BlazeX, RayzorX and FlashX.

The new and improved XR-DE Plus module is now equipped with built-in wireless, thereby eliminating the need for a cable between the X-ray source and the ICU. Thus, both the XR-DE Plus module and the pulsed X-ray source can be controlled via wireless communication.

What’s So Special about Vidisco’s Smart ICU?

The ICU – or the Imager Control Unit – plays a crucial role in the performance of the Vidisco digital radiography flat panel X-ray systems. Lior Pick, Vidisco Executive Vice President who is responsible for R&D, refers to the company’s proprietary Smart ICU as the “heart of all of Vidisco’s cutting-edge Digital Radiography X Series.”

Vidisco to Display Newly Launched BlazeX at the Milipol Exhibition
 
For the first time, Vidisco will be displaying its recently launched BlazeX  digital radiography system at the upcoming Milipol exhibition (booth number 1B018).
 
The new BlazeX features many of the unique qualities that Vidisco portable flat DDA based systems are renowned for, including  remarkable penetration, ruggedness, portability, battery operation, DC pushed down the line, and all-in-one specialized software. The new BlazeX also features a lightweight a-Si digital flat panel with an X-ray imaging area of 260 X 320 mm (~10.2 X 12.6 inch), resolution of 3.97 lp/mm (127 µm pixel pitch), and 14 bit dynamic range.

Vidisco recently launched the BlazeX portable digital X-ray system, the third model in its X series. The ruggedized, lightweight new panel offers an X-ray imaging area of 260 X 320 mm (~10.2 X 12.6 inch),  as well as high resolution - 3.97 lp/mm (127 µm pixel pitch).

The new product will be available in the traditional configurations – the regular hard case, backpack, the ‘Chaser,’ and the Extended Temperature Range BlazeX configuration, which functions reliably, even within a temperature range of -20oC to + 40oC. The company’s proprietary Xbit software offers all-in-one image grabbing and analysis in a user-friendly package complete with sophisticated enhancement tools to immediately enable the best quality of analysis, documentation and data sharing. As always, special emphasis has been placed on enhanced safety thanks to remote operation and reduced exposure time.

South Africa’s Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) Acquires Vidisco’s RayzorX Pro Portable X-ray System
 
The South Africa Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) has acquired Vidisco’s RayzorX Pro portable X-ray system for the purpose of munitions inspections. This high-energy X-ray system provides razor sharp digital radiology imaging, with an excellent Signal to Noise (SNR) ratio.



Vidisco’s Portable X-ray System Purchased by the Brazil Federal Police

The Brazilian television news program “Jornal Nacional” has reported recently that the Brazilian Federal Police purchased Vidisco’s digital flat panel based portable digital X-ray system - as part of its preliminary steps to acquire bomb security verification at the National Stadium of Brasilia.  

This verification is required in order to ensure that the stadium complies with all of the security conditions required for the upcoming World Cup games in 2014.
