High mobility has always served as a guiding principle in the design of Vidisco’s range of configurations for its portable X-ray inspection systems. Customized to meet the various needs of the NDT operator in the field, each configuration houses all of the portable X-ray inspection systems components, including room for optional wireless accessories. The FlashXPro large area DDA imager is also offered in various configurations of NDT operation in the field and the lab.

Ruggedized Case (Standard Configuration)
While the FlashXPro features a large-area imager capable of capturing exceptionally clear 16 bit (65,536 Grey levels) images, it fits together with all other X-ray system components in a single portable case. The case, which doubles as a work platform, serves as the base for the system’s laptop which can be operated at a safe distance from the inspection site.  The lightweight digital radiography system can be easily set up in the field and provides immediate high quality results on the screen for analysis on the spot.

Field NDT work may be required in rough or isolated locations, or in other sites (e.g. in large factories) that are hard to reach. Vidisco’s FlashXPro Backpack system was designed with this consideration in mind.  Despite the fact that the backpack configuration houses a large-area flat panel in addition to a complete X-ray system, it is lightweight and can be carried to any worksite. Weatherproof and desert-tested, the sturdy backpack is the ideal configuration for trekking equipment to testing sites anywhere.
