22 inch portable x-ray system for border control baggage inspection

With its large imaging area beginning a mere 1.5 mm from the bottom and 2mm from each side, the VCU (Video Camera Unit) 22 system is the perfect solution for security personal in areas of public transportation such as Airports, Train Stations and Bus Terminals requiring a portable, non-intrusive inspection solution. The quick set-up of the system combined with instant imaging allows security professionals to evaluate the contents of suspicious objects such as unattended hand luggage (even the largest allowed carry-on) in a matter of minutes. Border control personal and guards will find the VCU-22 an invaluable tool in monitoring and controlling borders.

The triple-edged and super-sized addition to the Vidisco CCD-based product line, the foXrayIIe VCU-22 large area imager, combines the best features of two worlds – CCD and Flat Panel. The 10 bit imager, supported by the Flat Panel Professional Software, presents greater control of available information with the use of Window Leveling to bring out the 1024 gray levels. The amazing thing is that as a CCD-based product, the VCU-22 has the same superb penetration and quality imaging as the Flatfox family of x-ray systems.

The foXrayIIe is another example of Vidisco satisfying our users' demands. Border and customs inspections police were in need of a large portable digital x-ray system to speed up their x-ray inspection time per person so they came to us to give them solution. The VCU 22 was not only built to be a stand alone system, but is also compatible to the CCD-based foXrayII family as well as the Vidisco Flat Panel products, the foX-Rayzor and the Flat foX-17 as an additional imager to existing Vidisco systems.
