22 inch portable x-ray system for border control baggage inspection

The perfect solution for X-ray inspection of a large area in one shot! The Vidisco foXrayIIe VCU-22 is the first suitcase size Triple-Edged digital X-ray inspection system that can be used for full size baggage inspection.

With its large imaging area beginning a mere 1.5 mm from the bottom and 2mm from each side, the VCU (Video Camera Unit) 22 system is the perfect solution for personnel in areas of public transportation such as airports, train stations and bus terminals requiring a portable, non-intrusive inspection solution. The quick set-up of the system combined with instant imaging allows inspectors to evaluate the contents of suspicious objects such as unattended hand luggage (even the largest allowed carry-on) in a matter of minutes. Border control personnel will find the VCU-22 an invaluable tool in monitoring and controlling border checkpoint traffic.

The triple-edged and super-sized addition to the Vidisco CCD-based product line, the foXrayIIe VCU-22 large area imager, combines the best features of two worlds – CCD and flat panel. The 10 bit imager, supported by the flat panel professional software, presents greater control of available information with the use of the Window Leveling tool to bring out the 1,024 gray levels.

The VCU 22 was not only built to be a stand alone system, but is also compatible to the CCD-based foXrayII family as well as the Vidisco flat panel products, the foX-Rayzor and the Flat foX-17 as an additional imager to existing Vidisco systems.
